Ms Watkins
This year we started out with 11 students in our class. The aides in our class are Mrs Beeman and Mr. Aaron. It has been a good start to the school year, although I was out for a week while the doctors decided what to do about her broken arm.
We are working in the Focus Reading Books. Most of the students are working in I CAN Read. Two students are working in higher level books. Two students are presently participating in the Acclerated Reading Program.
In Math, we are using the Houghton Mifflin Series. Students also do compucats almost daily.
We are now doing a patriotic unit. Previous President are discussed as are patriotic places and symbols.
Parent conferences will be held the first week of November. At that time we will inform you of your student's progress and any difficulties they may have. Please call to make an appointment.
Our class goes to computer lab on Tuesday. A date has not been set for library, as it is still being organized.
Homework is sent home on Mondays and is due the following Friday. Incentives are given for completed homework and perfect attendance.
