Uniform Policy

Nichols School has a mandatory uniform policy. The process used to establish mandatory uniforms included a survey of parents. Over 75% of the parents favored mandatory school uniforms.

Blouses, shirts or polo shirts with collars may be white, navy, light blue or yellow. Turtleneck shirts may be worn. Pants, shorts, skorts, skirts and jumpers are to be navy, khaki or school plaid. Sweatshirts, sweaters and outerwear should be navy.

  • Clothing must be solid colors except where school logo is specified.
  • Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel only.
  • Clothes may not be baggy.
  • Clothes are to be no larger than one size above or one size below the student's regular size.
  • Shirts must be tucked in.
  • There are to be no other logos or pictures on clothing other than the school logo.
  • There is to be no torn clothing.
  • Clothing must be neat and clean.
  • Students will be allowed to wear their school's team shirts, school T-shirts, scout and campfire uniforms, etc.
