October's Character Trait of the Month

INTEGRITY

Doing the right thing, even when nobody is watching.

MODEL GOOD BEHAVIOR:  Salazar Super Scholars always show their excellent behavior.  Model the behavior you would like others to have around you, too.  Be respectful, honest, and trustworthy at all times.  Make your teachers and parents proud!

 

HOMEWORK:   Homework is given every day except Fridays.  It is due back the next day.   All students with 100% homework will be invited to the HOMEWORK Club.  Members get to have a special free time in the room on Friday's during lunch.  Also, kids who have an excellent homework record may earn special rewards. 

 

DO YOUR BEST!  Advanced or proficient is the goal of all tests.  We are tested MANY times throughout the year on Language Arts and Math.

The only way to be a better reader is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

 

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?

In math, we are getting ready to start Unit 3 Multiplication!!!

In reading, we just started Theme 2 Celebrating Traditions:     Talk with your children about your traditions and about things that have been passed down from generation to generation.  Our class will love to hear about them.

 

INTERESTING BITS

We are currently in our temporary classroom (Room 32).  Hopefully, our new room (12) will be ready very soon. 

We have started flutophone lessons on Friday afternoons and we are doing very well so far.  We hope to show off our skills at the Winter Concert. 

 

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER!

  • CST Awards Assembly on Friday, October 3rd 8:45 Students who have done well on last spring's CST or have improved will be acknowledged.

  • Last day to make your A.R. Goal for the first quarter is on Friday, Oct. 17

  • A. R. Assembly is on Wednesday, Oct. 29

  • Reptile Assembly is on Friday, Oct. 31
