Welcome to my website. 

This school year I am teaching Fast Track with the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students.  The class starts at 8:30 and ends at 10:30.  This is the English Language Arts block for the students in these grades. Monday homework is due on Wednesday, and  Wednesday homework is due on Friday.  They should be able to do it by themselves.

We are covering Level III, which means the lowest comprehension standards my students have to show proficiency are at third grade level.  For certain reading comprehension skills we actually cover fourth to sixth grade level standards.

Reasearch shows that students that read at home every day, acquire the language level needed for academic success.  We are not talking about graduating from high school any more.  To be competitive in our global economy our children will have to have some college education. Please, give them your support and encouragement.  Read to them and with them.
