Dear Parents,
3rd grade is a lot of fun. I always tell my students that 3rd grade teachers teach almost the same curriculum as 2nd grade teachers except that we add new skills. For example, students in 3rd grade need to know their time tables. This is imperative since everything that we do for math deals with the fact again that students need to know their multiplication tables.
Also, I would like to emphasize the importance of parent/teacher communication. Therefore, if you have questions or concerns call the school after students are dismissed and have the office transfer your phone call to my classroom. You can also send notes to school.
Homework is important to me since not only teaches the students to be responsible, but it is a review of what we are learning in the classroom. Besides, homework helps them for every test that we have in class. Thus make sure your child turns in his/her homework. Also, make sure you check their work. In advance, I thank you for your help.
