A Note from the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents:
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the Nichols parents who worked so hard this year to support the school. Your contributions are what make this school such
a successful one.
We have just completed our staffing for next year. Mrs. Baugher will be retiring in June after forty years of service with the Bakersfield City School District. She is definitely
a member of the Nichols family, as she has spent twenty-nine years of her career teaching here. We wish her the best in her retirement. She will be greatly missed!
Due to budget cuts we will be loosing some of our classified staff. Lois Renshaw, Johanna Viberos, Anna Villanueva, Adam Perez, Rachel Flores and Teri Sanchez will not be with
us next year, We wish them the best in their new endeavors.
Our last day of school is Thursday, May 28, 2009. This is a minimum day and school is out at 1:20 and 1:30. Please mark your calendars with this information so that your children
will be picked up on time.
Our next school year begins on Monday, August 24, 2009. I will be back on campus on Friday, July 31, 2009. Teachers will be back on duty on Friday, August 21, 2009. Please do not
hesitate to call me at 631-5400 or to stop by the school for a visit. I wish you and your families a restful rejuvenated summer!
